*Painter Class A

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare a variety of parts including sheet metal, heavy steel, assembled components, and finished equipment for painting.
    • Chip weld slag, vacuum debris and wipe down with cleaner.
  • Mix materials as required to obtain desired viscosity and consistency. Maintain and adjust spray gun, nozzle, and pumps to desired operating conditions. Hang parts on hooks, hoist, or place on saw horses as required.
  • Apply a smooth, even coat of primer to all parts free of runs, streaks, thin spots and allow to air dry for a desired time before applying finish coat.
  • Apply a finish coat to parts when necessary and allow to dry completely. label the finished parts with a part number and put them away in the specified stock location area.
  • Clean and prep finished balers and equipment for a final finish coat of paint. This includes masking all surfaces that do not get painted.  Apply an even coat of top finish to all surfaces that are required. The top coat needs to be smooth and free of runs, thin or bare spots, pin holes, etc.  If necessary, repeat the top coat application in whole or part to achieve the desired finish.
  • Maintain the spray area as required in a clean and orderly fashion.       Clean the equipment after each use using proper materials and a brush.  Notify supervision of improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions. Follow all safety rules and precautions.
  • The movement of materials for painting requires the frequent use of overhead cranes and towmotors.

 

*Welder Class B

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform diversified duties within the shop relating to the welding of various parts, assemblies, balers, etc. involved in the manufacture of the company’s product line.
  • Must be able to work from prints, bills of materials, work orders, etc. with little guidance from management.
  • Monitor and keep group leader and supervision apprised of shortages, quality issues, and other roadblocks that may interfere with timely completion of production requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary reports, records, timesheets, etc. daily as required.
  • Maintain a system of orderly storage of required tools, supplies, and parts required within the department.
  • Effectively communicate with supervision or group leader as necessary to establish and maintain proper flow of parts and information to and from your department.
  • Communicate with group leader and supervision for print changes, updates, and modifications.
  • Must be able to proficiently burn, and weld using most currently accepted processes. (Arc, MIG, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

 

*Industrial Electrician
