Job Title:  Welder Class B   3rd Shift   Starting Pay = $21.85 per hour plus shift premium

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform diversified duties within the shop relating to the welding of various parts, assemblies, balers, etc. involved in the manufacture of the company’s product line.
  • Must be able to work from prints, bills of materials, work orders, etc. with little guidance from management.
  • Monitor and keep group leader and supervision apprised of shortages, quality issues, and other roadblocks that may interfere with timely completion of production requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary reports, records, timesheets, etc. daily as required. Maintain a system of orderly storage of required tools, supplies, and parts required within the department.
  • Effectively communicate with supervision or group leader as necessary to establish and maintain proper flow of parts and information to and from your department.
  • Communicate with group leader and supervision for print changes, updates, and modifications.
  • Must be able to proficiently burn, and weld using most currently accepted processes. (Arc, MIG, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Title:  General Laborer   1st & 3rd Shift   Starting Pay = $21.85 per hour

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working in a Heavy Steel Processing Industrial Atmosphere.
  • Heavy Lifting.
  • Load and unload burning table as needed.
  • Deburr parts as required, and deliver them to their proper storage location
  • Update part locations as required using the form provided
  • Assist with cleaning, and rebuilding the burning table
  • Stage parts for the welders by pulling parts according to the bill of material including required jigs/fixtures, etc. as requested.
  • Must be proficient at safely moving materials using fork truck and overhead crane
  • Properly complete all required daily paperwork
  • Repair parts using the welder as needed.
  • Assist with Janitorial Tasks as required
  • Assist with Painting tasks as required
  • Help in other departments as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and/or group leader.

Job Title: Maintenance & Repair  Class B   3rd Shift   Starting Pay = $21.85 per hour plus shift premium

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform a vast range of operations to repair, rebuild, modify, maintain and install all shop and facility equipment. Trade’s include in part: millwright work, carpentry, painting, masonry, pipefitting, plumbing, HVAC, welding, electrical, hydraulic, etc.
• Maintain an inspection system as required for key lifting devices, fire suppression systems, etc.
• Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance plan for all key plant equipment.
• Monitor and establish a key component stocking program for key plant equipment.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly checks as necessary on air systems, electrical systems, cranes, tow motors, HVAC, etc.
• Support the safety team with knowledge, remedies, solutions, etc. regarding areas of concern.
• Keep the plant manager and area supervisors appraised of key areas for concern regarding safety, breakdowns, planed and non-planned downtime.

Job Title:    Customer Service Field Technician

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment, using schematics as a guide.
  • Experience in repairing equipment – welding a plus.
  • Answer incoming customer or dealer calls for service and parts assistance, including follow-up on orders taken.
  • Start up new balers on site at customer locations.
  • Travel to customer locations for service calls when required.
  • Represent American Baler Company professionally when on the phone and on site at customer locations.
  • Make own travel arrangements. A travel agent may assist.
  • Develop trip reports for all off-site travel.
  • Proficiency in Epicor ERP and Microsoft Office products.

Job Title:      Materials Planning and Purchasing Assistant

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist Purchasing Manager with all purchasing activities such as vendor relations, contract and pricing negotiations, vendor evaluations, issuing of purchase orders, etc.
  • Assist Master Planner with daily functions such as putting prints to jobs, filing, organizing, etc.
  • Assist with job closing reviews and associated tasks.
  • Assist with pricing changes and uploads into Epicor.
  • Assist with expediting orders for purchased and manufactured components.
  • Perform cycle counts as required of purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Assist with other clerical duties as required.
