Job Title:         Painter Class B                           Pay: $21.35 / hour                 Shift: 3rd (Train on 1st shift if required)

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare a variety of parts including sheet metal, heavy steel, assembled components, and finished equipment for painting.
    • Chip weld slag, vacuum debris and wipe sown with cleaner.
  • Mix materials as required to obtain desired viscosity and consistency.  Maintain and adjust spray gun, nozzle and pumps to desired operating conditions. Hang parts on hooks, hoist or place on sawhorses as required.
  • Apply a smooth, even coat of primer to all parts free of runs, streaks, thin spots and allow to air dry for a desired time before applying finish coat.
  • Apply a finish coat to parts when necessary and allow to dry completely. label the finished parts with a part number and put them away in the specified stock location area.
  • Clean and prep finished balers and equipment for a final finish coat of paint.  This includes masking all surfaces that do not get painted.  Apply an even coat of top finish to all surfaces that are required. The top coat needs to be smooth and free of runs, thin or bare spots, pin holes, etc.  If necessary, repeat the top coat application in whole or part to achieve the desired finish.
  • Maintain the spray area as required in a clean and orderly fashion.  Clean the equipment after each use using proper materials and a brush.  Notify supervision of improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions. Follow all safety rules and precautions.
  • The movement of materials for painting requires the frequent use of overhead cranes and tow motors.

 

Job Title:         Assembly, Electrical Class B                           Pay: $21.35 / hour                 Shift: 1st

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work from Schematics, diagrams, Bill of Materials and instructions to wire balers and related components including Auto Tiers, MCC, CC, etc. with some supervision.
  • Use pipe threading and bending equipment, amp probe/meter, wire cutters, wrenches, volt meter, tape measure and a variety of other job related tools.
  • Must be familiar with and trained to work with voltages of 24VDC - 600 VAC. Wire motors, transformers, disconnects, valves, relays and other related parts.
  • Monitor and keep management apprised of shortages, quality issues, and other roadblocks that may interfere with timely completion of production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of your time and production records using EPICOR terminals or other methods as defined by management.
  • Must be able to efficiently work on projects with some supervision on a daily basis.
  • Effectively communicate with supervision and other employees to establish and maintain proper flow of parts and information to and from your department.
  • When necessary, work with your group leader, supervisor, and engineering to assure BOM and schematic accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by group leader or supervision.

 

Job Title:         Machinist Class B        Labor Grade: 6                   Pay: $21.35 / hour                 Shift: 1st

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, set-up and perform a variety of machining operations on any company machinery and equipment following generally standard practice and procedures.
  • Set-up and operate equipment for boring, milling, drilling tapping, honing, drilling, cutting, etc. on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.
  • Set-up and operate machines such as drill presses, boring mill, lathe, broaching and honing equipment, CNC mills (horizontal and vertical), CNC lathe with supervision.
  • Must be able to work from blueprints, specifications, work orders, instructions and other information with supervision.  Determine and set feeds, speeds, etc according to material and finish requirements.
  • Must be able to understand, adjust and modify CNC programs as required with supervision.
  • Must be able to hold tolerances as required by prints and specification.
  • Must be proficient at using a variety of measurement tools accurately.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork and documentation.
  • Assist with machine repair and preventive maintenance as required.
  • Must work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Keep group leader and supervision apprised of any issues, machine problems etc. at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Job Title:         Press Operator Class B                           Pay: $21.35 / hour                 Shift: 1st

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, set-up and perform a variety of operations on various company machinery and equipment following generally standard practice and procedures with some supervision.
  • Set-up and operate equipment for drilling, tapping, bending, shearing, punching, sawing, etc. on a variety of materials with some supervision.
  • Must be able to work from prints, specifications, work orders, instructions and other information with some supervision.
  • Must be able to hold tolerances as required by prints and specification.
  • Must be proficient at using a variety of measurement tool accurately.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork and documentation within Epicor.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance as required.
  • Must be proficient with the use of a computer.
  • Must work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Keep group leader and supervision apprised of any issues, machine problems etc. at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by group leader or supervision.

Job Title:         Welder Class B             Labor Grade:  7               Pay: $21.35 / hour

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform diversified duties within the shop relating to the welding of various parts, assemblies, balers, etc. involved in the manufacture of the company’s product line.
  • Must be able to work from prints, bills of materials, work orders, etc. with little guidance from management.
  • Monitor and keep group leader and supervision apprised of shortages, quality issues, and other roadblocks that may interfere with timely completion of production requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary reports, records, timesheets, etc. daily as required.
  • Maintain a system of orderly storage of required tools, supplies, and parts required within the department.
  • Effectively communicate with supervision or group leader as necessary to establish and maintain proper flow of parts and information to and from your department.
  • Communicate with group leader and supervision for print changes, updates, and modifications.
  • Must be able to proficiently burn, and weld using most currently accepted processes. (Arc, MIG, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

 

Job Title:         Shipping & Receiving Class B                           Pay: $21.35 / hour

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Various Shipping and Receiving task.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Shift: Train on 1st, then 3rd shift

 

Job Title:        General Laborer             Labor Grade:  9               Pay: $19.80 / hour

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Load and unload burning table as needed.
• Deburr parts as required, and deliver them to their proper storage location
• Update part locations as required using the form provided
• Assist with cleaning, and rebuilding the burning table
• Stage parts for the welders by pulling parts according to the bill of material including required jigs/fixtures, etc. as requested.
• Must be proficient at safely moving materials using fork truck and overhead crane
• Properly complete all required daily paperwork
• Repair parts using the welder as needed.
• Assist with Janitorial Tasks as required
• Assist with Painting tasks as required
• Help in other departments as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and/or group leader.

 

Customer Service Technician

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment, using schematics as a guide.
  • Experience in repairing equipment – welding a plus.
  • Answer incoming customer or dealer calls for service and parts assistance, including follow-up on orders taken.
  • Start up new balers on site at customer locations.
  • Travel to customer locations for service calls when required.
  • Represent American Baler Company professionally when on the phone and on site at customer locations.
  • Make own travel arrangements. A travel agent may assist.
  • Develop trip reports for all off-site travel.
  • Proficiency in Epicor ERP and Microsoft Office products.

Production Supervisor

  • Supervise assigned departments and lead them to achieve the production schedule on time.
  • Focus on continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality and productivity.
  • Work to clear road blocks between departments and instill a team environment.
  • You will have plant wide authority as needed to enforce the contract and code of conduct.
  • Fill in to cover vacation and absence of other plant supervisors as needed.

Base Salary: TBD

Bonus: Eligible at Corp and management discretion

Overtime: Straight time for hours worked exceeding 40/week

Vacation: Per Corp Policy

Shift: Shift will be primarily 1st; however, will also help cover off shift and fill in for vacation

Supervisor: VP of Manufacturing

Materials Planning and Purchasing Assistant

  • Assist Purchasing Manager with all purchasing activities such as vendor relations, contract and pricing negotiations, vendor evaluations, issuing of purchase orders, etc.
  • Assist Master Planner with daily functions such as putting prints to jobs, filing, organizing, etc.
  • Assist with job closing reviews and associated tasks.
  • Assist with pricing changes and uploads into Epicor.
  • Assist with expediting orders for purchased and manufactured components.
  • Perform cycle counts as required of purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Assist with other clerical duties as required.
